(A) Artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced image classification can be leveraged to classify lesions concerning for Mpox, particularly in low resource settings where specialists (i.e., infectious disease specialists or dermatologists) are not available. (B) Clinical specimens (including nasal swabs, lesion swabs, or serum samples) can be used for molecular or biochemical confirmation of Mpox infection. (C) Rapidly, field-deployable devices or assays can be developed using various strategies.
