Study design and main outcomes of exercise interventions for children with ADHD. Graphical overview of a randomized controlled trial in 107 children with ADHD. Participants were assigned to integrated cognitive-motor exercise, aerobic exercise, or a wait-list control group for 12 weeks (45 min/session, 3 sessions/week). Both exercise interventions improved inattention, hyperactivity-impulsivity, and cognitive flexibility, while integrated cognitive-motor exercise showed additional advantages in inhibitory control and working memory.
