Caption
The centers of tree species distributions shifted northward spatially over time as temperatures increased, from current climate (green points located in the south) to projected future climate (orange, pink, and purple points representing increasingly northward shifts with projected temperature increases) in the North American study extent, for (a) 184 wide-ranging North American tree species present in Mexico and (b) 258 Mexican tree species, including 51 endemic species of Mexico.
