Dentin tubule occlusion was shown to occur at Day 1 and Day 5 during the ADA Forsyth Institute's first-in-human, proof-of-concept trial of Sensi-IP, a novel bioactive glass incorporated in a toothpaste. The novel bioglass showed statistically significant reductions in dentin hypersensitivity relief compared to a control group using a common sodium fluoride (NaF) toothpaste.
