Highly Plastic Cancer Cells (IMAGE)
Caption
An MSK research team developed a sophisticated method to highlight and track cells with "high plasticity" before and after different treatments in a mouse model of lung cancer. The green cells in this image are cancer cells that emerge from the plastic cells — and they can be seen rapidly differentiating into a range of different cancer cell types. The findings point to these cells as a critical driver of cancer progression.
