Photoelastic imaging technique for visualizing blood flow–vessel stresses (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers from NITech, Japan, developed a novel platform that used polarized light and transparent, flexible vessel-like channels to capture real-time stress patterns in both the blood analogue and the artificial blood vessel generated by the flow of a blood analogue (non-Newtonian) fluid.
