Researchers have now developed a novel artificial intelligence-based facial analysis tool to uncover subtle differences in eye and mouth movements linked to subthreshold depression. These non-verbal cues, invisible to the naked eye, could help enable early and non-invasive mental health screening in schools, universities, and workplaces.
