Large Antenna in Testing Chamber

SwRI’s 1,260-square-foot indoor spherical near-field antenna range is equipped with a built-in overhead half-ton hoist to install and test large antennas up to 10 feet in diameter and 1,000 pounds. The chamber allows data collection when the antenna far-field distance exceeds the size of the range, a new capability for SwRI.
