According to the recently published study, deciduous trees such as here in the Amazon rainforest produce around 4 million tonnes of highly oxidised peroxy radicals from isoprene per year. This means that the emissions of deciduous trees are comparable to those of conifers, which produce a similar amount of highly oxidised peroxy radicals from α-pinene. Both contribute to the formation of clouds via particle formation.
