Excitons do not just glow inside (blue) but also on the surface (red) of a semiconductor magnet – a special feature of CrSBr crystals. This extraordinary quantum material combines antiferromagnetic order with semiconducting properties and emits intense light through excitonic quasiparticles. Its unique properties allow the precise control of light using magnetic fields.
