Alzheimer's disease is a multifactorial neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by amyloid plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, and gliosis. Beyond genetic and age-related factors, diverse risk determinants, including systemic inflammation, chronic conditions, infections, lifestyle choices, traumatic brain injury, and environmental exposures, contribute to the progressive neurodegeneration through their complex interactions.
