Efficient, sustainable next-generation AI

Benjamin Jungfleisch, associate professor of physics at the University of Delaware, uses this model of macroscopic spin-ice with permanent magnets to introduce magnetic interactions and phenomena to broader audiences. In his research, Jungfleisch uses tiny magnets — at the nanoscale — to study the dynamics of their interactions. This model was developed with support from the American Physical Society’s Magnetism Outreach Program.
