With more than $3.5 million in funding from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, researchers in the DIvision of Rheumatology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina seek to discover rare mutations associated with early-onset lupus over the next five years. The findings gleaned from this project could provide insights into targets for novel medications for adults with lupus.
