Moyer earns Carl Hanson Award for excellence in solvent extraction

Chemist Bruce Moyer, a Corporate Fellow at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has won the 2025 Carl Hanson Award, the highest international recognition for achievement in solvent extraction. EPB Quantum℠ adds hybrid computing to comprehensive quantum development platform

At the 2025 Quantum World Congress, EPB Quantum℠ announced that it is enhancing its quantum computing resources by adding hybrid computing capabilities. Through an agreement with the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), an NVIDIA DGX system has been installed at the EPB Quantum Center℠ in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is already home to America's first commercially available quantum network and lonQ's Forte Enterprise Quantum Computer scheduled for commissioning in early 2026.

Unlocking ceramic 3D printing for next-generation chemical reactors

In collaboration with chemical technology and engineering company Dimensional Energy, scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory have integrated binder jet additive manufacturing with an advanced post-processing method to fabricate leak-tight ceramic components, overcoming a key challenge of ceramic additive manufacturing.
